We have recently introduced a booking system to our Minor Injury Units (MIU). Some patients in the waiting room may have a pre-booked appointment and be called in ahead of others. Please be assured we will continue to see you as quickly as we can.
From Autumn 2020, patients requiring urgent treatment for minor injuries should contact NHS111 online via 111.nhs.com or by phoning 111.
NHS 111 will assess you and give you the option to speak to a nurse, doctor or paramedic if appropriate. You’ll then be advised where you need to go for treatment.
This could be a minor injuries unit, an out-of-hours GP service or your local GP in normal hours, or the nearest A&E if necessary.
